What it is

The part of outdoor advertising that happens at height, in traffic

Installing a billboard face is not a sign-fixing job. It happens at height, frequently beside live carriageways, on structures that have to stay safe afterwards. It needs access equipment, traffic management and crews who have done it before.

We install faces on our own network and on third-party structures, replace graphics mid-campaign, and remove cleanly at the end of a booking. Removal matters more than most advertisers assume: material left up after a campaign attracts complaints and, increasingly, enforcement.

Related structural work is covered under structure fabrication and static billboard installation.

Included

What the crew handles

Access, fitting, tensioning and site reinstatement are part of the job, not extras.

Face fitting

New vinyl or paper fitted and tensioned so it stays flat. A loose face creases, catches wind and fails early.

Mid-campaign replacement

Swapping a face for a new message or replacing one that has been damaged, usually within a day.

Removal and reinstatement

Clean removal at the end of a booking, with the structure left ready for the next face.

Access equipment

Elevated platforms and rigging appropriate to the height and position of the site.

Traffic management

Where a site sits beside a live carriageway, the works are managed so the road stays safe.

Condition reporting

Structural issues spotted during a fit are reported and passed to maintenance.

How it works

How an installation runs

Site assessment

Access, height, traffic exposure and fixing method confirmed before scheduling. On unfamiliar sites this may mean a survey first.

Schedule

Timed around traffic conditions and daylight. Busy corridors are often fitted early morning.

Remove the outgoing face

The previous graphic comes down and the frame is checked before anything new goes on.

Fit and tension

New face fitted, aligned and tensioned, with fixings checked along every edge.

Sign off

Photographed on completion, which also serves as proof of display for reporting.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do you install on structures you did not build?

Yes, provided the structure is sound. If a crew finds a safety concern on arrival we will stop and report rather than fit onto it.

How quickly can a damaged face be replaced?

Usually same or next day once a replacement is printed. After severe weather we prioritise by exposure and safety.

Is removal really necessary?

Yes. Leaving material up past the booking generates complaints and can attract enforcement. See what happens if your sign is non-compliant.

Do you work outside Kingston?

Yes, across all fourteen parishes. Sites further from Kingston and Runaway Bay may need a little more scheduling notice.
