What it is

Print that has to last outdoors, in this climate

A billboard print faces conditions most large-format work never sees: direct equatorial sun for months, driving rain through the wet season, salt air on coastal sites and sustained wind loading. Material choice and ink chemistry matter more here than in temperate markets.

We print billboard vinyl and paper for our own network and for third-party sites, along with banners, replacement faces and event graphics. Everything is colour-managed and proofed before it runs, because a 40-foot reprint is an expensive way to discover a colour shift.

Related printed work across signage and banners is covered on our banner printing and tradeshow printing pages.

Included

What we print

Billboard faces are the core of it, but the same presses cover most large outdoor formats.

Billboard vinyl and paper

Full faces for 48 and 96 sheet formats, printed in sections where the structure requires it.

Replacement graphics

Single-face replacements mid-campaign or at the end of a booking, matched to the original colour.

Banners

Hemmed and eyeleted banners for events, storefronts and construction hoardings. See banner printing.

Reflective materials

Where night legibility matters and illumination is not available. See reflective banners.

Mesh for wind

Perforated mesh for exposed and elevated sites where a solid face would act as a sail.

Vehicle and surface graphics

Wraps and applied graphics using the same colour management. See vehicle wrapping.

How it works

From file to finished face

Resolution, bleed, colour space and outlined fonts verified before anything is committed to press. Specs are in our artwork guide.

Proof

A colour proof for approval. Brand colours are matched to Pantone references where supplied.

Material selection

Vinyl, paper, mesh or reflective, chosen for the site’s exposure, wind loading and expected campaign length.

Print and finish

Printed, trimmed, hemmed and eyeleted as the structure requires, in sections for larger faces.

Handover to install

Delivered to the crew for fitting, or to you if you are handling it.

Detail

PVC vinyl Standard billboard faces Months to years, depending on exposure
Perforated mesh Elevated or wind-exposed sites Comparable to vinyl, with far less wind load
Reflective film Unlit sites needing night legibility Long, with reflectivity the limiting factor
Banner PVC Events and temporary display Short to medium term
Questions

Frequently asked

Do you print for boards you do not own?

Yes. Give us the face dimensions and fixing method and we will print and finish to suit.

What file do you need?

Ideally 1:10 scale at 300 dpi in CMYK with 100mm bleed, fonts outlined, supplied as PDF/X-1a. Full detail in the specs guide.

Will the colours match my brand exactly?

Close, and closer with Pantone references and an approved proof. Print is subtractive and screens are additive, so some shift between monitor and vinyl is unavoidable.

How do you handle hurricane season?

Exposed sites are usually specified in mesh to reduce wind load, and we hold replacement stock so a damaged face can be reprinted quickly.
