What it is

Jamaica advertises in seasons, and the inventory knows it

Demand for billboard space on this island is deeply cyclical. The same Kingston corridors that sit comfortably available in February are fought over in December. The north coast route that has options in May is committed by October.

Seasonal advertising is the practice of working backwards from those moments: identifying which windows matter for your category, securing the sites before the rush, and building creative that belongs to the occasion rather than running generic brand messaging through it.

Done well it is the highest-return outdoor spend available, because you are reaching people at the moment they are already deciding to spend. Done late it is impossible, because the sites are gone.

Included

What seasonal campaigns involve

The work starts a season before the campaign runs.

Window identification

Which moments actually matter for your category. Back to school is decisive for a bank and irrelevant for a nightclub.

Forward booking

Inventory secured months ahead, before the corridor tightens. See space booking.

Occasion creative

Artwork that belongs to the moment. A Christmas board should look like Christmas, not like your usual board with a wreath added.

Digital rotation

Messages that change through the season, so a December campaign is not one static offer for five weeks.

Event-adjacent placement

Sites near the venue, the route or the arrival point rather than generic city coverage.

Post-season reporting

What ran, where, and what moved. See campaign reporting.

How it works

How a seasonal campaign is built

Pick the window, a season early

Christmas is planned in September, Carnival in January, Sumfest in April. The advertising calendar lists every deadline.

Secure the corridor

Book before demand arrives. In peak windows the site decision is made by availability, so the earliest buyer chooses.

Build occasion creative

Artwork designed for the moment, and for digital, several versions to rotate through the season.

Schedule the run

Start and end dates, dayparting and rotation set through content scheduling.

Report and plan the next one

Playback records and a summary, which becomes the baseline for booking the same window next year.

Questions

Frequently asked

How far ahead do I really need to book?

A full season. For Christmas that means September. It feels early until you try to book a Kingston corridor in November and find nothing.

Is digital or static better for seasonal work?

Digital, almost always. Seasonal messages change through the window and digital lets you rotate them at no cost. Static suits the year-round brand presence underneath.

What about the quiet months?

Late January into February, and May into June, are the least contested periods of the year. For brand campaigns with no deadline they offer better availability and less clutter.

Can you handle event-specific placement?

Yes. For events with a known venue and route we will place against the approach rather than buying general city coverage.
